Heavenly Harvest

Posted: January 26th, 2011   Category: christian

What might heaven be like? I need only think of God’s creation, a restorative spinning ball of life, carefully balanced in a perfectly designed space, between a universe and the sole light of life. Upon this ball rests Eden, the perfect garden that God planted for the man and woman he created in His own image. Eden has everything that humankind needs, including God, to exist eternally. The only difference which I might distinguish, would be the absence of the crafty serpent, Revelation 20:10. For in Heaven, we shall not want, need nor wish to repeat the mistakes of our earthly existence. By banishing the essence of evil, Eden exemplifies the objectives of God’s heavenly kingdom. Yes, Eden did require man to work the garden, but such good works, for the benefit of good life, is another blessing. There was no sickness or distress in the original garden, no death, no poverty and no aging. God walks in Eden, available to each and all who seek Him out. In His heaven, that will be everyone who embraced His spirit in life. Yes the birds, fish and animals also live in Eden, alongside the trees, bushes and seeds of sustenance. All life in Eden continues, eternally in natural beauty and peace.

We spoiled God’s original plan, but of course He knew we would. We can rest comfortably knowing that not one, nor many can spoil God’s ultimate plan. We live in a 3 dimensional world now, but no one can be sure how many dimensions God actually created in the heavens. Physicists have speculated on the existence of as many as eleven dimensions. There is no limit to the size of Eden. There are no dimensional boundaries or borders. There are four headwaters flowing from the springs of Eden to other lands, but these other lands, may hold no further purpose for the tried and tested children of God, whose names are recorded in the book of life.

Like many other students of the Living Word, I find the search for answers to be curative, but I also understand that only God holds the final answers. The details are not important, the end of the story is. God has already built His house in Heaven, it is ready and waiting, Revelation 20:4-6 describe the sequence of events and players which will debut as the story unfolds. I urge each reader to call upon the teacher, God’s Holy Spirit, to guide them through the Word, and to enlighten each and everyone of us. The garden was planted for everyone, but the guests of the harvests will be selected.
