One Perfect Father
Reading the bible from cover to cover, tells the story of an extraordinary Father, who’s quiet strength and wisdom might otherwise have remained an unsolved mystery during our lives. Many of us have read at least one good biography in our lives, as most schools require such reading. The bible however is different than a biography. It does not tell us God’s origins, except to say that He always was and always will be. It doesn’t explain His seemingly elusive presence, or if you prefer, His constant presence outside of our 3 dimensional spectrum of awareness. The bible does however, tell us as much as we can understand about the Father. God is the most imaginative, creative entity we will ever hope to know. He has unlimited resources to do as He wants and isn’t tethered by even time or space. Although the bible refers to God as the Father, that is more to delineate the 3 parts of the Holy Trinity. God’s Triad presence and appearance are of universal breadth, beyond the limitations of male or female, young or old, color(s), size, flesh or spirit. We know that we were created in His image, but that image only appeared as a cloud or briefly as Jesus Christ, whom we note, is not described physically in the bible. By our standards of measure God is very old, but by His unlimited standards He is as young to us as the first day that He is invited into our lives.
We know that God is the purest essence of; of love, patience, grace and forgiveness. We know that He is a teacher, father, judge, leader and caretaker. He is goodness as compared to evil. He is not cruel or unfair, despite the fact that He can take back what He has given. God is stronger than anything but He is also flexible and understanding. He is easily understood and more consistent than anyone we will ever hope to know. God is jealous, which makes sense, because He is also our only standard of perfection. We know that one day we will either stand briefly or eternally before God, but we will never stand equal to Him, yet He does not rub our noses in this inherent fact. God gave us free will and a soul to watch responsibly over it and be held accountable. Why so few people read this entire extraordinary story, is a mystery but we’ve been told that the bible is suppose to be a mystery, which can only be understood by believers with the help of His Holy Spirit. God shall exercise judgment one life at a time, as only God can deliver judgement on us fairly. He’s the one perfect father.
