Thanksgiving Offering
On this uniquely American holiday, we gather, family and friends, around the table offering thanks, not to each other but to God in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We are thankful for His gift to us of life, without which nothing else would be possible. We are thankful for His heartbreaking yet endearing sacrifice, which allows us to look forward from this life with hope. We are thankful for His presence in our lives as we walk a path which is certain to be both enlightening and heart breaking, filled with joys and sorrow.
Whatever we have that is good, we have only you God to thank for it. We are especially privileged on this day to have friends and family, to share in the wonderful bounty that you have given to us. We have even more friends and family who are not with us today but are still sharing of the bounty you’ve provided. And lastly we have family and friends who are in your care, with whom, we believe you are sharing your generosity and love firsthand. Thank you for everything from our cradles to graves and more importantly beyond and for allowing us the incredible pleasure of knowing you before we meet you.
And to everyone here and around the world, Happy Thanksgiving!
