How God Runs Nations
“But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.” (Luke 22:26 ESV). In 1776 the leaders of a new nation, most of whom volunteered for the assignment, after having declared themselves independent from the tyrannical leaders they had left behind, set in place a form of government to be managed for the people, by the people. They created a congress for the sole purpose of representing their populace, establishing laws fairly and equitably, as well as providing a common defense against other nations. These great historical leaders did not envision a time, when their nation might need to defend itself against the greedy self interests of their own elected officials. This nation, established under God, consistent with His principles has been marred by the unethical and immoral behavior of those entrusted to protect it.
Our congress consists of and functions as many committees. The leaders of these committees are the most senior, those who have made politics a career rather than a serving opportunity. This is backwards according to God. There may be experience in this approach but to what end? Experience by nature defies change. God made young David a king to change the wrong ways. Power in this nation comes from votes, votes from money, not from skills, character or morality. If only the newly elected were allowed to chair or lead these committees, the others would be left to serve, change would be returned to the control of voters and democracy could be restored quickly. People do know what’s good for them, without abandoning moral convictions. The congress of this once great nation, has, in serving itself before its constituents, become a tyranny once again. Selfish greed has reduced the most prosperous nation in the world, to one which must borrow it’s pennies to pay it’s debts. There cannot be different class rules and applications in a common government. A nation under God, is not an independent nation, but one where the leadership is clear and must be followed. Through God’s grace, this nation was conceived and prospered. The moment our leaders abandoned God (which we allowed) to serve themselves better than they serve His people, our fall from grace began. As one nation, we rise and fall together. Our poorly chosen leaders should be removed, with us right behind, to make way for those following to step up and take back this glorious nation, once again under God.

AWESOME!
As Oliver Hardy often said, to Stan Laurel, “This is one fine mess YOU’VE gotten US into.” This is all our fault. In a democracy you deserve the government you elect.
Cheers pal. I do appreciate the writing.
We have become complacent and allowed all the politicians to do as they please. People just keep re-electing only because they are familiar with their names. Most people just don’t care!
